Hi, I'm Latin Lady Dj Margarita!
For 12 years I have had the privilege of sharing great music with the masses! Since the summer of 2000, my focus has pretty much remained in the area of Latin genres such as Salsa, Merengues, Cha Cha Cha and Latin Jazz.
Today, I'm proud to host a number of online radio programs and lay claim to having my very own 24 hr Salsa radio station, which is currently ranked at # 10 in the Salsa Genre on Live365.com (Aug/2008)). In addition, I write music reviews for a couple of online music sites and newsletters, nationally and internationally.
The blessings are countless and I'm grateful to have them. To be able to (by means of radio & Dj'ing) meet so many wonderful and talented individuals from all parts of the world, to me seems somewhat surreal at times. I love the unfolding of each new friendship, as we acquaint ourselves with one another.
I cannot even begin to share the many times that I've started to speak to a new "friend", either online at first, and then on the phone and think, how comforatable this feels, as if we'd known one another for a very long time.
I will always thank God for what I'm experiencing in my life, at each and every moment, not only as a Salsa Ambassador, Dj, and radio host, but as an individual, who has received so much.
The purpose of these podcasts are to promote the music and the artists, deliver their messages, share my salsa radio broadcasts with as many listeners as possible around the globe and bring the audiences a glimpse of our own sense of "home".
Since podcasts can be downloaded and listened to at any given time, the listener has the freedom of listening at his/her leisure and not forced to be glued to the computer at the specific time that the broadcast airs.
